Video: Common Speaks on Obama's Victory
Last night all eyes were on Chicago as Obama absolutely put the wood to McCain and became the 44th President of the United States of America. I wasn't even about to attempt to fight the droves of people that attended the Grant Park rally, and instead opted out to attend a party thrown by Common and Talib Kweli at the Hard Rock Cafe.
Mikkey Halsted, Rhymefest, GLC, Really Doe, Mano, Mic Terror, Timbuck2, Drew Sidora, Konee Rok, Happy, J.Ivy, Geno, Dillaman and a whole slew of Chicago's hip hop elite were on hand to celebrate history.
Here you can watch the first of the many clips we filmed last night in cojunction with the good folks at RubyHornet. It was definitely a night to remember and Chicago Hip Hop was definitely in the building
A big thanks to Christi with an Eye for everything last night. Also thanks to Rahsaan Gordon who put the event together - it was a great turnout.

GREAT EVENT.
YES WE CAN!
We did the damn thing...
I went to a couple parties after......just gotta say tho, NOTHING could beat the feeling of actually being amongst the people in Grant Park.Hell if Oprah and Chicago's Elite could brave it, I figured I could too.I saw people of all ethnicities literally in tears when Obama's victory was announced.I didn't even want to cheat the moment getting drunk or blowin back blunts. I was high on life, hope, and history.
Man.....I will never forget it.
Congrats to President Elect Barack Obama!
History was made November 4th 2008
